TORONTO (May 29, 2019) – Potentia Renewables Inc. (“Potentia”) is proud to announce the acquisition of the Musselshell Wind Projects (“Musselshell”) in Montana, USA from Goldwind International Holdings (HK) Ltd (“Goldwind”). Musselshell consists of two 10MW wind projects that commenced operation in December 2012, located in Wheatland County, Montana.

Musselshell consists of 14 Goldwind 87/1.5MW permanent magnet direct-drive turbines.

“We are very excited to add these great performing assets to our rapidly expanding North American renewable energy footprint”, said Jeff Jenner, Chief Executive Officer of Potentia Renewables Inc. “Potentia now has over 850 MW of long-term contracted wind and solar assets under development, construction and operation in Canada, U.S. and the Caribbean.”

Musselshell increases Potentia’s renewable energy operating footprint in the U.S to 53 MW. The Musselshell assets are located close Potentia’s contracted wind projects in Western Canada that are scheduled to commence construction later this year. Goldwind Americas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Goldwind, will continue to perform O&M and asset management services to Musselshell. Stonebridge Financial Corporation acted as lead Arranger to Potentia, with financing provided by Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc.

Potentia continues to look at the US market for further acquisition and development opportunities.
