Head of Communications

General responsibilities:

Working alongside the executive team and investment platform managers, and reporting to the President, the successful candidate will oversee all communication files:

  • Manage internal communications and support team engagement, in Canada as well as abroad.
  • Raise and ensure brand awareness and contribute to protecting the brand reputation.
  • Develop and implement integrated communication strategies.
  • Continue to evolve the brand in step with our expansion (brand image and architecture).
  • Ensure brand consistency across all touch points.
  • Create material that supports partners and projects our values and brand personality.
  • Oversee and/or produce all communications documents and content.
  • Ensure the creation/updating, of digital content on the website and social media.
  • Introduce mechanisms and tools that enhance the flow of information within the company.
  • Manage the teams responsible for the deployment of communication strategies (employees and collaborators).
  • Proactively identify any risks to the brand reputation.
  • Act as spokesperson, as needed.
  • Ensure sound management of allocated budgets.
Skills and qualifications:
  • University degree in communications, public relations, or related discipline.
  • 10 years’ experience in corporate communication positions with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in and understanding of communication realities in a multinational company and/or asset management.
  • Experience implementing communication processes and mechanisms.
  • Excellence in oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
  • Honed political acumen.
  • Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written.
  • Understanding of business issues and how to communicate them.
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of communication: internal communications, media relations, social media, brand image, event organization, etc.
  • Ability to summarize, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in the field of finance preferable.
